Fuel Efficiency Units
A fuel cost calculator is useful for road trips, delivery planning, commuting budgets, and comparing vehicles with different mileage. Users often search for trip fuel cost, gas cost for a drive, or petrol cost per kilometer before a long journey.
km/L means higher is better. L/100km means lower is better. MPG is commonly used in the US and UK, while km/L and L/100km are more common elsewhere.
For example, a car doing 15 km/L over 300 km uses 20 litres of fuel. Multiply that by the fuel price to estimate the trip cost.
